San Victorino’s first day of early rise caused massive crowds

With the suspension of the quarantine, the early morning of San Victorino returned, although the biosecurity measures were absent.

One of the most important measures of the new normal in Bogotá is the commercial operation without limit of hours. The businesses that previously could only work from noon now do so at a time defined by themselves, although from Wednesday to Sunday only.

This has motivated the merchants of San Victorino to put aside the late-night measure that they had applied since July. Instead, and from 3:00 am, the traditional early morning of San Victorino was re-lived in the center of Bogotá.

The measure did not stop causing controversy. According to RCN News, the massive presence of buyers and sellers caused large crowds. These show how informal vendors once again took over the streets of the sector in the town of Santa Fe.

It should be remembered that the city has authorized informal vendors to work in the city. According to the Mayor Claudia López in an exclusive interview with PUBLIMETRO, “both are part of our city and both have to be able to work.”

Of course, in the shopping centers of the sector it has been seen how the peak and ID card is maintained.
