With more than 4 months late, the 103rd edition of the Giro d’Italia will start this Saturday with a 15-kilometer individual time trial and the first four stages will be run on the southern island of Sicily.

The first serious climbs will arrive on the third day, when the Etna volcano will be climbed, and this will be followed by an arrival in Matera in the sixth stage and a climb to the top of Roccaraso in the ninth.

There will be four great mountain stages, with three finishes up: Madonna di Campiglio, in the seventeenth, Laghi di Cancano, in the eighteenth, and Sestriere, in the twentieth and penultimate stage.

Precisely that of Sestriere will be the queen stage of the Giro, with climbs to Col d’Agnello, which will be Cima Coppi with its 2,732 meters of altitude, Col d’Izoard, Col de Montgenèvre and finally the final climb to Sestriere.

It is in Sestriere where the final verdict of this Pink Race could arrive, before the closing with an individual time trial of 15.7 kilometers between Cernusco sul Naviglio and Milan, which will again put the final point at Italy tour after closing last year in Verona.
