The defense minister has offered a reward to find the whereabouts of the murderers. The tragic night in Bogotá left five dead, according to the government.
Bogotá lived a night of absolute anarchy. Violence raged throughout the night and left an unexpected death toll.
According to Minister Holmes Trujillo, five people died from the events.
For her part, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, confirmed that there were 46 CAIs destroyed and dozens of buses burned.
She was also emphatic that a reform in the Police is needed and confirmed that she did not give any order to attack the citizens.
Today is a day that hurts wherever you look at it. My condolences to the family and friends of those who were killed or injured. Destroying Bogotá will not fix the Police. Destroying us won’t fix anything. Let’s focus on achieving justice and structural reform for the security forces. pic.twitter.com/Ge1ylvGR8p
