After finishing the eighth fraction of the Grande Bouclé, the rider referred to the stage and stated that he always sought to be in a good position: “Good, a stage in the Pyrenees always makes a difference, stretches of being there in a good position and not wasting time. ”
Further, the Antioqueño stated that he was quite well and believes that he is on the right track: “I think I felt quite good, getting ahead is important to be the first stage of the Pyrenees. It gives a little motivation to keep working and I think we are on the right track.”
This Sunday, Stage 9 of the French race will be run, which will consist of a 153 km route between Pau and Laruns. Additionally, there will be two first category ports, two third category and one fourth category.
