The authorities offered a millionaire reward to find those responsible for the murder of Unilda Díaz, Tomas Correa and his daughter Luisa Fernanda Correa Díaz in the rural area of Tierralta, Córdoba.
“A reward of up to 30 million pesos will be offered to anyone who has information that allows the identification and capture of those responsible for this act, which we regret,” said Daniel Montero, mayor of Tierralta.
A specialized group of the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office collects information to clarify this crime that was registered when, apparently, armed men entered the houses of the victims and shot them.
For their part, organizations that defend human rights in Córdoba demand the protection of the peasant communities of the department.
“It is not true that things in the department are changing, the conflict in the department is becoming more and more acute,” said Arnovis Zapata, spokesman for the Peasant Association of southern Córdoba.
