Lawyer Javier Ordóñez, whose death in a police proceeding has sparked strong protests in Colombia, would have died as a result of beatings at the Villa Luz CAI -located in the town of Engativá, Bogotá-, where he was taken after being detained. by soldiers who reduced him with taser-type weapons, as evidenced in a video posted on social networks.

This was reported this Friday by Blu Radio and Noticias Caracol, media that revealed that there are two videos, recorded by the soldiers themselves, that show that Ordóñez was subjected to blows inside said CAI for a period of 10 to 12 minutes.

After the blows, Ordóñez reported injuries to his back and internal organs, but the one that would have caused his death would be a forceful blow to the head, according to the Legal Medicine report. In total, Ordóñez suffered nine skull fractures and several injured organs and would have been taken to the medical center without vital signs.

According to national media, the case would now involve seven uniformed men.

The preliminary investigation would consider the hypothesis that Ordóñez would have an old quarrel with those police officers, which would explain some of the threats that the uniformed officers launched against the victim before and during the time of the reduction with the use of a taser pistol. .
