All roads lead to Reinaldo Rueda. In recent days, the Valle del Cauca strategist received the endorsement of the ANFP to negotiate with the Colombian Football Federation his arrival in the Tricolor, after the departure of Carlos Queiroz from the national team was announced.
Well, this Friday it became known that the 63-year-old strategist is already in national territory to take his year-end vacation, and also, to begin negotiations with the Federation, in search of an agreement to reach the technical direction of the Colombian National Team.
Rueda, as reported, arrived in Bogotá around 12:50 pm, to later board a flight to Cali, where he will meet with his family.
“Reinaldo Rueda came to Bogotá to meet in person with Ramón Jesurún, but the president of the FCF is preventively in a clinic after testing positive for coronavirus. For this reason, this meeting, since it could not be held virtually at the request of both parties, had to be postponed and the coach continued to Cali ”, Fernando Jaramillo, member of the FCF executive committee, told Blog Deportivo.
Thus, with the arrival of the strategist in Colombia, it is expected that in the next few days or weeks, the pertinent negotiations will begin, in order to define the coach of the Colombian National Team for the Qualifiers and the Copa América del 2021.
