At around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, the Mayor’s Office of Cartagena announced the new schedule of the peak and ID card that will govern the city from May 11 to May 25.

The calendar stipulating the departure times of citizens during the period of mandatory preventive isolation was chosen through a public contest that generated reactions in favor and against.

This time the new schedule, stipulated in Decree 0599, does not contemplate gender discrimination. That is to say, both men and women will be able to leave the same day and it reduces to two digits per day the exits of the citizens to stock up. Reactions to the new calendar were immediate. Through social networks, the majority of citizens have shown their support and others are not yet as convinced.

Through a poll, Eluniversal.com.co He consulted the readers what they think about the winning programming and this they told us:

“Seem right. Weekly they have to repeat the output to certain numbers. In any case, there will be many discontents, but the important thing is to be able to go out at least one business day a week. With a curfew every Sunday, ”said Mara Alexandra González.

“I can say that the measure that eliminates gender was something that was not very useful to say, since that measure only applies to establishments of commerce and services, the rest walked on the street as if nothing. Now, with this new peak and ID, people will go out again like when the quarantine began, but with the awareness that they can organize themselves better, “said Jesús Peña.

“I think it is excellent that they have modified it so that only two numbers came out, life is full of trials, congratulations for those who participated and for those who did not, leave the criticism, at least you try what happens is that you do not cooperate ”Vivi Patricia Barrios said.

“Very good, although everyone will never agree, the important thing is to enforce the standard. It is already good of so much corruption on the part of the authorities receiving gifts to free the offenders, “said Enrique Campos.

“They had to apply the Barranquilla model, that is what it is for so that people do not go out to catch it,” said Marlon Periñan.

“I am not very happy. There are people who cannot wait a week to go out and stock up, the genre, although they do not want it, it was already taking place, and people were getting used to it, the more restrictions, the better. In addition, it was necessary to program a schedule and extend the hours of bank and supermarket services. Very bad that peak and ID, “said Ángel López.

About the results

The proposal was chosen by Mrs. Nina Ferrer Araujo, sent on Monday, May 4, at 1:25 p.m., who is dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the San Buenaventura University, Master in Gender, Society and Public Policy .

For the Mayor, Ferrer Araujo’s programming deals with a simple, easy-to-learn numerical progression that guarantees memorization, also based on the previous Decree, with the aim of not disfavoring anyone and, especially, eliminating the gender issue. , because it increases the risk for the transgender population of the city.

It also restricts departures on Sundays, giving a departure frequency every five days, with the advantage that those who leave on Saturdays also manage to leave on Monday, considering that on Saturdays the city does not have the same dynamics as on a weekday.
