The technical director of ‘la Tricolor’ confirmed at the press conference that it does have Villa on the radar for the National Team, despite the denunciation of violence gender that is against him, and hinted that it was justice who should judge him and not he, who is not a judge.
That generated the disagreement of, among others, the journalist Carlos Antonio Vélez, who questioned Queiroz. But the issue got worse when in networks another opinion began to circulate that the technician gave in a private conversation, after his talk with the press, and of which evidence was left because there was an open microphone and the audio was leaked.
There, Queiroz insisted that he was not the institution that should judge Villa, because someone read him a trill from the journalist Sarah Castro, who had asked him the question about said player at the press conference, and he was dissatisfied with the response of the technician, expressed on his Twitter, among other things, that the Colombia team is “a social institution” and “protocols and measures against gender violence” are needed, as you can read below:
The Colombian Selection is also an institution, Professor Queiroz … A private company that for many years has been a SOCIAL institution in this country. We need protocols and measures against gender violence. You don’t just come to choose athletes
– Sarah Castro Lizarazo (@saritacas) November 9, 2020
No one asked / said / suggested that Queiroz or the FCF be anyone’s judges, but they should assess their social responsibility as an institution when it comes to issues of gender-based violence both from players and within the National Teams. Protocols, measurements, positions.

Queiroz’s reaction to knowing Castro’s opinion was to insist that he was not an institution, but later he added: “If all the men who take a punch from women went to the press to speak, the world would be screwed,” which generated further annoyance.
Queiroz’s response on controversial leaked audio
Hours after all that, the Colombian coach (Selection that already has its players concentrated for the knockout games in November) decided to speak out and stayed in his position.
“I reaffirm publicly and unequivocally, as I did at the conference, the conviction that any trial and media conviction does not replace the primary role of justice,” Queiroz said.
That response from the technical director of ‘la Tricolor’ was written on his official Twitter account, according to him, “aBe aware of any misunderstandings ”that might be generated by the“ partial and private ”audio that was leaked.
This is Queiroz’s post on Twitter:
In the face of any misunderstanding that results from the audio, partial and private, after the press conference, I publicly and unequivocally reaffirm, as I did at the conference, the conviction that any trial and media conviction does not replace the primary function of justice.

Queiroz’s audio that was leaked
This is one of the trills that circulates with the audio of what the coach of the Colombian National Team said, after the press conference:
