The document also indicates the sectored quarantine dates that certain towns in the city will have.
In principle, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, announced a strict quarantine sectorized for six towns in the south of the city (Bosa, Ciudad Bolívar, San Cristóbal, Puente Aranda, Rafael Uribe Uribe and Usme) from Monday 18 to 28 of January.

However, this decree contains a novelty: the town of Tunjuelito will also enter this quarantine.
According to the decree, the reason for including that locality at the last minute was the high effective reproduction number (RT), which measures the ability of a person to infect others. If this is above 1, it represents a danger in relation to the acceleration of contagion. At this time, Tunjuelito’s RT index is 1.17.

Thus, all of Bogotá will enter this Friday, January 15 at 8:00 p.m. to a general quarantine that will go until next Monday, January 18 at 4:00 a.m.

To these quarantined towns are added Kennedy and Fontibón, where the restriction goes until 11:59 pm on Thursday, January 21.
