The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) recently announced a positive case of coronavirus covid-19 in the technical staff of the national team and has now confirmed not only his identity but also his replacement.
“The Colombian Football Federation informs that, after learning about the positive case for COVID-19 of the goalkeeper coach Des Mc Aleenan last Thursday, November 5, the technical director of the Colombian National Team, Carlos Queiroz, decided to replace him with the coach of archers Ricardo López, “said the FCF in a statement.
He is the exporter of Atlético de Madrid, Real Valladolid and Manchester United, a team in which he coincided with Carlos Queiroz.
The FCF explained that López is currently linked to Valladolid, a club that allowed him to be transferred to the Colombian National Team for the next matches against Uruguay and Ecuador.
The new person in charge of the work with Ospina, Vargas and Montero already has experience in national teams, since he was in Japan performing that function.
When his recovery ends, Des Mc Aleenan will once again be in charge of working with those responsible for the arc in Colombia.
