The mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, said through her Twitter account that on January 25th the public schools will return to attend the students in person, yes, with all the biosafety protocols.

And he added: “No one made a greater sacrifice this year than the boys and girls of Bogotá, the other year we all have to sacrifice a little so that they can return to their schools.”

The return in person of students from public schools through an alternation model that will comply with all biosafety protocols to mitigate the threat of covid-19 will be a reality by 2021.
Bogotá has been progressing satisfactorily, according to its own schedule and calendar, in the Gradual, Progressive and Safe Reopening Plan (GPS).
Since last September 7, this strategy was enabled on a voluntary basis for kindergartens, private schools, institutions of higher education and institutions of education for work and human development.
For the official schools, a pilot plan was structured that was executed during October and November 2020, and for the other year it is expected that the attendance in the schools will be total.
