In Barranquilla there were also protests the afternoon and night of this Wednesday, which generated blockades in some sectors, in solidarity with the lawyer Javier Ordóñez, who lost his life in a police procedure in Engativá, in the capital of the Republic.

On Carrera 43 with Calle 50, in the center of the city, a group of students from the Universidad del Atlántico met through social networks to meet at the headquarters located in this area, one block from the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police command.

From 6 pm the students launched slogans against the Police, and denounced alleged abuses and mistreatment of the uniformed men.
The Police ordered the closure of that section of the road to avoid disturbances of public order.
Young people and student leaders expressed their indignation against the Police for what happened to Javier Ordónez.
Routes R1 and R10 make a detour through Troncal Murillo, Cra 50, Calle 59 and Cra 46, due to demonstrations in La Catedral.

The protests spread to the south of this capital and sectors of neighboring Soledad municipality, for which companies such as Transmetro had to divert some routes and suspend another, as a result of vandal attacks on the buses of the system.
At this the city remains calm, and little by little tranquility will be recovered in the areas that were closed.
