From prison, he must continue to appear in the process against him, 56-year-old Adolfo León Arango Tobón, as allegedly responsible for the crime of aggravated femicide.

The facts, investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office, are related to the death of 38-year-old Heidy Elizabeth Ocampo Granada. The woman had disappeared at the beginning of October and on the 17th of that month her body was found and exhumed by the Prosecutor’s Office in a farm in the municipality of Copacabana (Antioquia).

The victim disappeared on October 9 in the Doce de Octubre neighborhood of Medellín and her case was reported on October 15 before the Group of Disappeared of the CTI Medellín.

Two days after the report, his body was exhumed at the La Gaviota farm, village
Peñocito de Copacabana (Antioquia), by an interdisciplinary team of the CTI made up of servers from the Group of Disappeared, Criminalistics and the Life Unit.

The CTI experts, using forensic lights, determined that the woman was killed inside the house and dragged into a wooded area. The body was buried half naked and wrapped in a blanket, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The CTI officials established that after the crime, Arango Tobón had traveled to the city of Santa Marta (Magdalena) and then supposedly traveled to Montería (Córdoba).

Apparently, the man intended to travel to Panama through the Gulf of Urabá. However, under pressure from the investigators, the defendant appeared at the Caribbean headquarters of the
Prosecutor’s Office in Medellín on October 21 and the charges brought by a prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI) were acquiesced.
