Primoz Roglic, a Slovenian cyclist from the Jumbo-Visma team, won the fourth stage of the 107th edition of the Tour de France, a 160.5-kilometer day between Sisteron and Orcires-Merlette, a top-class finish.
With a time of 4 hours, 7 minutes and 47 seconds, Roglic prevailed in the finish at Orcires-Merlette ahead of the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) and the French Guillaume Martin (Cofidis), second and third respectively.
The break of the day was in charge of keeping the race pace alive, with the peloton always keeping the advantage below 4 minutes. Finally the peloton finished with the last of its representatives 7.3 kilometers from the finish line, just at the beginning of the last ascent.
Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step), who donned the leader’s yellow jersey after winning the second stage, remained at the head of the individual general classification of the French round.
The Tour de France will continue this Wednesday with the dispute of its fifth stage, of 183 kilometers, starting in Gap and finishing in Privas.
