The chaos that was experienced in Bogotá and some other municipalities of the country this Wednesday, September 9, began at dawn, in the Santa Cecilia neighborhood of Engativá, when two uniformed men who have not yet been identified, attacked the lawyer and taxi driver Javier Ordóñez to death, in an act that outraged the country. Several sectors came out to ask for reforms to the Police.

Faced with what happened to Ordóñez, Duque expressed his solidarity and assured that through the Foreign Ministry, work is being done to facilitate the arrival of relatives of the lawyer who live abroad.
“These facts will be investigated with total rigor and promptness, today the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation has opened an investigation, the investigation is being carried out in the police force, “Duque said in his speech.
The head of state assured that “we Colombians have felt proud of our Public Force” and added that since the monopoly of force falls on it, they must conduct themselves with transparency and a high standard.
