The death of the patrolman Edwin Caro Gomez, of 24 years, aroused a chain of solidarity towards the National Police, since the uniformed man, who had only been in the institution for 5 months, was murdered in the middle of a procedure described as everyday: the requisition of two people.
Wilkerson Slyke Hernández Sánchez is the person accused by the authorities of having used a firearm against Caro Gómez, in events recorded last Wednesday, March 10, in the north of Bogota.
The body of the patrolman Caro Gómez was transferred to Medellín, where his funeral was held this Friday in the presence of the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano Aponte, and the director of the National Police, General Jorge Luis Vargas.
Parallel to this, in the courts of Paloquemao the judicialization (legalization of capture and indictment of charges) was advanced against Hernández Sánchez, who, through his lawyer (despite the security camera videos and the testimony of several people) did not He accepted the charges and asked to be transferred to Venezuela, his country.
In the midst of this situation, an episode was recorded that generated greater outrage, and it was the attitude of the man accused of the homicide of the patrolman Caro Gómez.
And it is that in the middle of the hearing, Wilkerson Slyke Hernández Sánchez smiled several times, which was taken by the judge of the case as a mockery of an act as serious as a homicide.

“That is a lack of respect for the administration of justice, for the victims and the relatives of the person who died, to approach the camera and laugh in front of them. I do not think it is an act according to the solemnity of the act”, Assured the judge, quite annoyed at the syndicated attitude.
In fact, on two occasions the judge interrupted the hearing to draw attention to the alleged murderer of the patrol car, whom He was charged with aggravated homicide, attempted aggravated homicide and illegal possession of weapons.
The judge drew the attention of the accused by the “attitudes that are not commensurate with the solemnity of the act“He was referring to the fact that Hernández, according to the hearing on Thursday, intervened at various times.

In fact, based on the request of the Prosecutor’s Office and the evidence presented, the judge sent Hernández Sánchez to jail, whom he considered “a danger to society.”
The prosecutor noted that “full identification” of Hernández has been achieved and can say that “He is the alleged perpetrator” of the homicide of patrolman Caro, as well as the person who runs away and then throws the gun into a planter.
