Colombia’s elite team is ready for the road cycling World Cup to be held between September 24 and 27 in Imola, Italy, after Switzerland canceled the championship venue due to the pandemic.

While Dayer Quintana and Winner Anacona will be the substitutes.
In this way it is confirmed that Egan Bernal will be the great absence of the team of our country. The Ineos rider has shown some physical difficulties in the Tour de France and that took him away from the World Cup in Italy. Daniel Martínez will be the representative in the time trial.
The riders who will arrive in Italy on Monday, September 21 with Miguel Ángel López and Harold Tejada, on the 22nd will be Rigo and Martínez and on the 23rd, the rest of the riders.
Elite female team
The representation in the elite women’s team will be with Paula Patiño, Carolina Upegui and Daniela Atehortúa, revelation of the season and winner of the youth classification in the Abu Dhabi Tour.
What will the World Cup route be like?
The elite test will be held on September 27 and will have a route of 259.2 kilometers, on a 28.8 km circuit in Imola, where the peloton will have to do nine laps.
Each turn will have two ascents, one of 2.7 km at a 6.1% incline and the other with an equal section but at 6.4%. So a tiring day is expected, taking into account that a large group of riders will come directly from competing in the Tour de France, as in the case of the Colombians.
