At the hearing against Paul Naranjo, allegedly implicated in the death of Ana María Castro, new details of the case were known. A call from an eyewitness is decisive for the Prosecutor’s Office to maintain the thesis that the young woman was thrown from the truck, last March 4.

“What happens is that here on the 80, arriving before the Boyacá bridge, they threw a girl from a car; she’s spilling a lot of blood and she’s lying there. I saw and the car went full throttle, they threw the old woman away and a man is here supposedly helping her ”, affirms the witness.

In the judicial proceeding, the reconstruction made by the Prosecutor’s Office of the case is that Paul Naranjo, 29, would have been upset by Ana María’s behavior with her friend Mateo Reyes, so he refused to follow the route and got the young man out of the vehicle. Minutes later, Ana María would have been released.

“How this person gets upset when she danced and kissed with Mateo, how it made her very angry, for that reason they lower them. But obviously the theory of this tax delegate is that it is for this reason that Mateo Reyes is previously taken down and, as he continues the tour, there is an opposition as it will be seen later on the part of Ana María and it is accordingly that she is thrown from the vehicle “said Gerardo Ariza, prosecutor in the case.

The representative of the investigating entity presumes that Paul Naranjo’s jealousy would have caused him to attack her and throw her out of the truck.

Due to the high degree of exhaustion, Ana María was in a defenseless state and could not resist the blow.

The prosecutor also explained that -although Naranjo was required since January 22 of this year- the young man did not show up immediately and, on the contrary, did his best to hide from justiceTherefore, it is considered that there is a risk of flight by the person under investigation.
