Deportivo Pasto and Independiente Santa Fe tied one goal on the 17th day of the BetPlay League. The meeting at the Departmental Libertad stadium in Nariño, there were goals, but there was no winner.

The cardinal team started with their formula: look for Jorge Ramos as a pivot for the arrival of the flyers. That worked because Daniel Giraldo got the first approach, but the ball went wide.

Pasto responded with the explosiveness and speed of his forwards because in Jeison Medina he found the man who moved the defense and in Jhon Pajoy the finisher, although in the first time he had the ball he went slightly off track.

The locals attacked the cardinal’s gangs because the projection of Carlos Arboleda and Dairon Mosquera left spaces, although in the area defended by Luis Delgado there were options that were not well capitalized.

The one who did not miss was Pajoy, but in the Santa Fe area. From the right Esneyder Mena Perea sent the ball to the area with a great center that Jhon stopped with his chest and then finished off with his right foot to celebrate the 1-0 to the 37 minutes into the game. With that goal the important options of the first half were closed.

In the second half Santa Fe wanted to be more protagonist of the meeting and on the left sector began to have more game and association between Herrera, Luis Manuel Seijas and Kelvin Osorio. That trident began to generate good game for the volcanics, but that last connection was lacking that would clearly enable Ramos.

Bogotá’s red wanted a goal and coach Harold Rivera sent Juan Sebastián Pedroza, Jhon Velásquez and Patricio Cucchi to the field, all with offensive intent.

That made Pasto play closer and closer to his goal and although there were no clear goal actions, Santa Fe put pressure.

The consequences of that game arrived at minute 79. Danilo Arboleda wanted to reject a ball, but Daniel Giraldo anticipated him and the Pasto defender ended up kicking him behind the wheel of Santa Fe in the area. Wilmar Roldán did not hesitate and whistled a penalty. Seijas took possession of the ball and changed it for a goal. 1-1 and 10 minutes to play.

But that final stretch of the match could not be used by either team because the opportunities in the areas were few and the final score was a one-goal draw.

With this result, both clubs add a goal that allows them to get closer to qualifying for the next round, although at the end of this they could be ratified within the group that will play the quarterfinals of the League.
