Outrage in Medellín over man who attacks young people in protest

It has sparked controversy and outrage.

In the recording you can see the students arguing with two citizens. One of them is Luis Emilio Arboleda, remembered for damaging an LGTBI flag in Pueblito Paisa.

“I’m not going to let them damage the city either,” Arboleda is heard saying, while the young man who is filming shouts that he was the one who damaged the flag.

At that moment, another citizen appears on the scene, who wears a red shirt and carries a cell phone in his hand.

The man yells at the young people: “study” and then utters a disturbing phrase.

“He knows what he’s going to do, that civilians are going to arm ourselves to finish off these cheap students”, express.

The citizen continues to be involved in a discussion against the protesters: “Students who neither study nor contribute to the house. They are damaging the economy of the country ”.

At his words, a young woman questions him: “Are you threatening us?”

To which the man replied: “I am not threatening anyone, study, do something because it does not serve but to vandalize … He is going to graduate, but vandal.”

After the angry discussion and the strong signals, the individual leaves the place.

“They are right wrong,” says the person recording the video.

The man’s words have generated unease among students in the capital of Antioquia.

For his part, General Eliécer Camacho, commander of the Medellín Police, indicated that during the protest day there were riots and acts of vandalism precisely against the command of the Metropolitan Police of Valle de Aburrá, for which Esmad intervened.

Due to these events, four people were transferred to a Temporary Protection Center and one more was captured.

Due to the riots, especially in the San Antonio sector, merchants had to close their establishments, in the middle of the day without VAT.

It should be noted that the majority of protests were peaceful.
