Then the unexpected happens, the ‘Llorente’s vase’: the second takes the initiative and blows out the candle. Her bored face turns to mischief and the happiness of the first turns to tears and rage. Inconsolable grabs her sister by the hair, while the latter simply rejoices in her pilatuna. The adults proceed to separate them so that it does not pass to adults.

The images, which would pass simply as one more anecdote of a children’s party if it were not for the Internet, have been shared in hundreds of publications on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok in recent hours and have been an inexhaustible source of memes and reissues with the Dramatic music from soap operas like ‘María la del barrio’, ‘La usurpadora’ or ‘La rosa de Guadalupe’.

The protagonists of the video in which a girl blows out her sister’s birthday candle are the little Maria Eduarda (the birthday girl) and Maria Antônia, and the video was captured last Sunday, October 18, in the city of Pato Branco, Paraná, in Brazil.

“It was just a children’s fight”

The video was recorded by the girls’ godmother, Gabriela Aureluk, who posted it on her Instagram. In a short time, the piece went to WhatsApp groups and ended up going viral not only in his country, but throughout Latin America.

“It was a boys’ fight, typical of brothers,” Aureluk told the Brazilian news portal G1. The woman told another medium that she never thought that the video would have such an impact.

“I posted it on Instagram and then a friend told me ‘unlock (your profile), my whole family wants to see it.’ I unlocked it and the rest is history,” he said in an interview with journalist Hugo Gloss.

He added that “since it was the youngest’s birthday, the oldest was jealous, it’s normal. They get along super well (…) only on Sunday, during the party, the gifts were for the little one, the hugs were for the little girl and she (the older one) stepped aside, then she started to get jealous. ”

“For those who were saying that they hate each other, after (the fight) they were cutting the cake together. Only those who have siblings understand,” the girls’ godmother shared on her Instagram account.

She said that after the altercation happened, Maria Antônia went to cry, because everyone started laughing and she believes that the girl was ashamed, while Maria Eduarda was happy again and blew out the candle twice.

“Then we calm Maria Antônia and she came back, (and) helped her sister cut the cake, it is a relationship of sisters. At one point they are ‘slapping’ each other, at another they are hugging,” he concluded.

The girls ‘mother, Marines dos Santos Fernandes, told G1 that the girls’ relationship is one of love and friendship, “so much so that María Eduarda gave the first slice of cake for her sister and the two played the whole party.”

The woman expressed her concern about the dissemination that the video has had, which was initially only published for the family to see, since only 15 people could attend the party due to the pandemic. “I never had the intention that more people shared it (…) We are, unfortunately, concerned with the negative reaction from everyone,” he said, referring to some attacks he has received through social networks.
