An explosion inside the electrical room of the Tarantela building, located in Carrera 14 # 9-18, is the main hypothesis of the Official Fire Department of Armenia about the possible cause of the fire that occurred on the afternoon of this Sunday, November 22 .
The emergency was attended by 10 units, under the command of Second Lieutenant Juan Diego Herrera Vallejo and supported by the National Police, the Empresa de Energía del Quindío and Efigas.
The emergency did not leave people injured but material losses, at this time it is confirmed by the Quindío Energy Company, Edeq, that the building was isolated and that the energy service is normal in the surroundings.
“The risk of fire has already been controlled, Efigas also controlled, now Edeq is doing its part,” Herrera Vallejo said.
