The director of the Dagrd (Administrative Department of Disaster Risk Management) of Medellín, Alethia Arango, confirmed that this Sunday morning a fire broke out in the Buenos Aires neighborhood, which left one person dead and two people injured by burns.
After the call to 123, the firefighters arrived at the house located on Carrera 27A and 49A in the Buenos Aires neighborhood, where they attended to the case of a fire in which three people were affected (a 50-year-old woman, another 18 years and a man of 24), who had burns on the body.
Alethia Arango confirmed that a vehicle was also involved in the fire that occurred in the sector.
Initially, the three injured were referred to healthcare centers, and later they received confirmation of the death of one of them.
This is the 18-year-old woman who was taken to the San Vicente de Paúl hospital, and died while receiving the care of doctors, in the statement, the causes of her death are not confirmed.
The authorities are carrying out investigations to establish the causes of the incident.
