With the arrival of Flight 859 from Fort Lauderdale at 1:39 pm this Saturday, Colombia reactivated its international flights through Cartagena after six months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On the flight, Spirit Airlines legal director Daniel Camejo arrived.

“May this be an opportunity for hope, reactivation and transformation to be sown in this beautiful city,” declared President Duque after the reactivation of the first post-pandemic international flight.

Once on the landing strip, one of the Spirit pilots took the Colombian flag out of one of the plane’s windows to wave it.
