Now they steal in luxury cars and with a dataphone – Bogotá

Fifteen credit cards and a vehicle with a dataphone were found in a gang of criminals in the Villa Luz neighborhood, in western Bogotá.

As explained by Major Miller Rojas, commander of the Engativá Police, an attractive woman is the one who convents the unwary to access your credit cards with deceptions of all kinds.

Then, inside a high-end vehicle, all the victim’s information is scanned using a dataphone. “Then the criminal returns the plastic, but all his information has already been stolen.”

In this way they can make transfers to other accounts or make purchases.
When the uniformed men carried out the capture operation, the criminals offered them money. “The police did not accept any bribery and, instead, the crime of bribery will be added to the crime of robbery and fraud already committed by this gang.”

In total they were three people captured, a woman and two men, who will be made available to the authorities. The luxury vehicle was immobilized.
The Metropolitan Police of Bogotá reminds citizens never to disclose their financial movements or give their plastics to strangers.

Also avoid consigning large sums of cash. Entities offer options for electronic transfers and payments without the need for the user to travel to the branch. Likewise, be suspicious of strangers on the street and try not to go out with cards that are not going to be used.
