In an amateur video it was recorded how a police officer faces shots on public roads with a dangerous leader of a criminal organization who wanted to escape from a covert capture operation.
The event was recorded on Calle 11 with Carrera 2, in a central area of the municipality of Ciénaga (Magdalena), where José Francisco Álvarez Rodríguez, known by the alias of El Tarra, had been intercepted.

The alleged criminal, upon noticing the presence of the plainclothes police officers, drew his firearm and fired at the officer who led his search.
The woman, despite seeing her life threatened, did not hesitate to respond in the same way to the attack, managing to reduce the aggressor after giving him three bullet wounds in both legs.
In this action, the agent was injured by a projectile in the leg. However, he remained at the forefront of the persecution until the arrest materialized.

The shooting clash between the Police and alias El Tarra generated moments of panic among the residents of the sector, who from the window of their homes recorded the successful procedure completed by the officer.
The commander of the Metropolitan Police, Colonel Oscar Favian Solarte, highlighted the courage of how the agent He faced the situation and – without putting citizens at risk – managed to deprive José Francisco Álvarez Rodríguez of his freedom, whom he said is the leader of Los ‘Pachencas’ in Ciénaga and is one of the most wanted criminals in that municipality.

The protagonist of this “movie” operation is Captain María Johana Restrepo, head of the Sijín de Ciénaga, who has been serving in the Police for 13 years.
For his part, the captured José Alberto Alvarez Rodríguez alias El Tarra presents an arrest warrant for attempted homicide, has a record of illegal possession and is linked to other events that are the subject of investigation.

In addition, he will be prosecuted for personal injury, carrying and attempting to injure the captain of the Sijín with his firearm.
Both injured were referred to clinics in the city of Santa Marta. The authorities reported that the state of health of the agent and the detainee is stable.
