According to what was stated by the union, 200 contracts were suspended “without justification”, of which 155 were for workers belonging to the union.
During the protest, dozens of women with bare chests and covered faces raised red flags and issued slogans. In this way, they said that they were laying bare what happens in the academic center.

“We reject the decisions made by the rector. Mothers of families and in general many workers were sent home without justification”, Santiago Reyes, union spokesperson, said with a megaphone in hand.
So far, the Autonomous University of the Caribbean has not issued an official statement to refer to the situation.
