There is a whole controversy in Antioquia due to some images that circulate on social networks in which dozens of young people are seen dancing in the pool, without respecting security protocols.
These facts, according to the complaints made on social networks, are about celebrations of college degrees in farms in Santa Fe de Antioquia, in the west of the department, organized by a company from Medellín.

Although the mayor’s office of Santa Fe de Antioquia had authorized some companies to celebrate these festivities, the local president, Felipe Pardo, assured that they will initiate an investigation and rethink these permits for this type of event.

The first thing that was done, Pardo explained, is to investigate whether the images do correspond to an establishment in his municipality. For this, the corresponding authorities are already doing the verification.
“This citizen complaint of photos and videos reached us through the media. As mayor, I ordered an investigation coordinated with the National Police to identify the mode, time and place of that video,” he said.

Pardo commented that through the municipality’s Health Secretariat, permits were issued to several companies to carry out this type of event in hotels, according to some capacity and the certification that the hotel itself has. In fact, he added, constant visits are made to commercial establishments to verify that all protocols are being met.
This has been done in order to reactivate tourism in the municipality, but, the Mayor commented, everyone must comply with biosecurity protocols and, otherwise, establishments will be closed.

“What is clear and that we categorically reject are those complaints that we have seen in video and photos, because that does generate crowds, generates risks for our population, for the families of those who are there, and that is why we are advancing the investigation to proceed with all the sanctions and, if it is the case, if they are commercial establishments, proceed to the closure, “said the local president.
