The facts were presented this Monday night in the San Isidro neighborhood, town of San Cristobal, in the south of the city. Explosive detonated in supermarket in Bogotá.
Witnesses say they woke up to the sound of a loud explosion. When they looked out they noticed that it was an attack against a supermarket in the area.
“I was lying down when I felt like an explosion, a very tremendous noise. What I did was call the police and then I went out, and I saw that the structure of the facade was like a fall”, a witness told Citytv.
The newscast highlighted that the event did not leave any injuries or fatalities. The material damage, on the other hand, extended to the surroundings of the business, since the glass of some facades was broken by the explosion.
For now, everything is a matter of investigation. According to the first versions, two men would be behind the explosion, as they are told to leave the explosive “low power” at the supermarket.
“The detonation of an explosive, handmade, very low-power device was presented”, Colonel Virgilio Forero, Inspection Officer of the Bogotá Police, explained to Citytv.
