Since the economy was reactivated in the country, there has been talk of possible new closures due to the appearance of outbreaks of covid-19, and in Antioquia, the authorities indicated that one of them could be presented in October.
However, the version is different now, as the governor in charge, Luis Fernando Suárez, assured that, for the moment, no new quarantines, closures or restrictions are being contemplated.
“We remain vigilant and vigilant. Here what the pandemic has taught us is that day by day, according to the evaluation and the figures, decisions are made. I want to remember that today no mayor or governor can issue a decree declaring a quarantine without the approval of the National Government, ”said the delegate president.
This situation is due to what has been predicted by the Medellín Mayor’s Office, taking into account that the president has indicated, more than once, that at the moment it is not necessary, although he is insistent on self-care, with the necessary biosecurity measures to avoid an increase in cases.
