The Ministry of Health confirmed today that Colombia reached 936,932 confirmed cases of COVID-19. In addition, the country reached the 28,457 deaths and 826,831 recovered.

That means that on day 223 of the pandemic there are 79,585 active cases, a number that has fluctuated a lot, since a few weeks ago it fell from 60,000, but in recent days it had risen again from 90,000.

For the results of this Thursday, the National Institute of Health analyzed 43,574 tests, 21,906 were PCR samples and 21,668 of antigen.

The capital had 26 victims today, followed by Valle del Cauca (18), Antioquia (17), Santander (13), Cundinamarca (10), Cesar (8), La Guajira and Tolima (7), Córdoba and Risaralda (6 ); Caldas, Huila and Norte de Santander (4); Cauca, Meta and Nariño (3); Atlántico, Bolívar, Caquetá and Sucre (2); Arauca, Barranquilla, Boyacá, Cartagena, Magdalena and Vichada (1).

Meanwhile, by age, the victims were distributed as follows:
– 0 to 29 years: no person.
– 30 to 39 years: one person.
– 40 to 49 years: 5 people.
– 50 to 59 years: 22 people.
– 60 to 69 years: 36 people.
– 70 to 79 years: 44 people.
– 80 to 89 years: 29 people.
– Over 90 years: 14 people.

According to this, the youngest person to die was a 30-year-old man in La Dorada (Caldas) who still has the comorbidities under study and the oldest was a 101-year-old woman in Ibagué (Tolima) who suffered from hypertension.
