At the start of the eighth month of the pandemic, Colombia reached 835,339 cases of COVID-19. Of that number of patients, 26,196 have died and 751,691 have overcome the disease.

There were 198 deaths reported today and 173 of them are from previous days; They were distributed by region as follows: Antioquia (43), Bogotá (36), Valle del Cauca (24), Cesar (10), Cundinamarca (9), Meta (8), Santander (7); Quindío, Cauca and Huila (6).

There were also victims in Córdoba, Boyacá and Norte de Santander (5), Risaralda (4), Tolima and Nariño (3); Santa Marta, Caldas, La Guajira and Arauca (2); Cartagena, Sucre, Chocó, Barranquilla, Caquetá, San Andrés, Vaupés, Bolívar, Vichada and Guainía (1).

Meanwhile, the youngest person to die was a woman in Valledupar with the comorbidities under study and the oldest was a 100-year-old man in Medellín suffering from kidney disease.

By ages, the dead were distributed as follows:
– 0 to 9 years: no person.
– 10 to 19 years: one person.
– 20 to 29 years: 3 people.
– 30 to 39 years: 2 people.
– 40 to 49 years: 13 people.
– 50 to 59 years: 24 people.
– 60 to 69 years: 53 people.
– 70 to 79 years: 53 people.
– 80 to 89 years: 44 people.
– More than 90 years: 5 people.
