Colombia reached 1,165,326 cases of COVID-19, 33,312 deceased and 1,070,423 recovered. In this sense, the country registers 59,015 active cases on the 250th day of the pandemic.
Of the infections confirmed today, there are 2,566 in intensive care units.
Today’s new patients were detected by testing 48,716 samples (30,189 PCR tests and 18,527 antigen tests).
Coronavirus cases in Colombia today, November 11:
Bogotá continues to skyrocket and reported 2,1305. It is followed by Antioquia with 1,652 new cases and Valle with 985.
With many less cases are Santander (438), Caldas (360), Boyacá and Cundinamarca (315), Norte de Santander (267), Risaralda (264), Huila (239), Meta (221), Quindío (211), Tolima (203), Nariño (166), Barranquilla (129), Cartagena (116) and Cesar (100).
Y below a hundred Cauca (94), Casanare and La Guajira (62), Atlántico (54), Guaviare (39), Caquetá and Putumayo (38), Santa Marta (27), Córdoba (26), Bolívar (23), Arauca (17 ), Vaupés (15), Sucre (14), San Andrés (12), Magdalena (10), Chocó and Vichada (4), Amazonas (1).
Deaths from coronavirus in Colombia today, November 11:
143 of the 164 deaths reported today correspond to previous days. According to the Ministry of Health, one of them died in August, one in September, 11 in October and 151 in November.
In this report, Bogotá left the highest number of victims (31) and the unfortunate ‘top 3’ is also completed by Antioquia (30), and Valle (28).
Lives were also lost in Huila (11), Norte de Santander (8), Tolima (7), Cundinamarca and Santander (5); La Guajira, Meta and Risaralda (4), Boyacá and Casanare (3); Arauca, Caldas, Caquetá, Cartagena, Cauca, Magdalena, Putumayo, Quindío, Sucre (2); Cesar, Nariño and Santa Marta (1).
Meanwhile, by age, the victims were distributed as follows:
– 0 to 19 years: no person.
– 20 to 29 years: one person.
– 30 to 39 years: 2 people.
– 40 to 49 years: 12 people.
– 50 to 59 years: 20 people.
– 60 to 69 years: 42 people.
– 70 to 79 years: 53 people.
– 80 to 89 years: 25 people.
– More than 90 years: 9 people.
The youngest person to die was a 26-year-old woman in Palmira and the oldest was a 96-year-old man in Villavicencio; both with the comorbidities under study.
