With these figures, Colombia reached in total 1,908,413 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of that number, 1,729,633 people defeated the virus and 48,631 died. The country reached January 17 with 124,825 active cases.

For the data for this Sunday, 51,743 tests (41,113 for PCR and 10,630 for antigen type), for a total number of 9,130,554 samples processed since the health emergency began.

Bogotá had 5,235 new infections, followed by Antioquia with 2,404, Cundinamarca with 1,219 and Nariño, which registered 849.

With fewer cases appear Santander (744), Tolima (635), Barranquilla (578), Huila (553), Boyacá (494), Caldas (482), Cartagena (457), Cauca (451), Risaralda (401), Valle del Cauca (379) and Meta (333).

And below the hundred cases were La Guajira (87), Sucre (63), Caquetá (61), Putumayo (61), Magdalena (54) and Amazonas (51).

Similarly, the Ministry of Health confirmed that 375 people died from the virus.

In addition, by region, victims were reported in Valle del Cauca, Bogotá, Tolima, Cundinamarca and Santander by the COVID-19.

Deaths were also reported in Nariño, Huila, Caldas, Meta, Cauca and Boyacá due to complications linked to the coronavirus.
