The Ministry of Health confirmed today that Colombia reached 1,559,766 confirmed cases of COVID-19. In addition, it already has 41,454 deceased and 1,417,316 recovered.
That means that in the middle of the 10th month of the pandemic there are 96,783 active cases. In the last 24 hours it registered an increase, as it increased a little more than 1,000 patients.
For the results of this Tuesday, the National Institute of Health analyzed 74,280 tests, 45,434 were PCR samples and 28,846 of antigen.

In today’s bulletin, Bogotá continues to lead with 4,748 new patients, followed by Antioquia (1,966) and Valle (1,156), which continue to increase their numbers, as in recent days.
With fewer cases, Cundinamarca (812), Tolima (652), Barranquilla (608), Cartagena (607), Santander (556), Caldas (471), Meta (337), Risaralda (332), Norte de Santander (319), Boyacá (318), Atlántico (315), Nariño (296), Cesar and Huila (205 each), Quindío (196), and Santa Marta (191).
And by below the hundred reported cases are La Guajira (96), Cauca (94), Magdalena (82), Caquetá (77), Córdoba (67), Bolívar (58), Casanare (52), Putumayo (45), Sucre (41), San Andrés ( 15), Chocó (14), Amazonas and Guainía (3), Vaupés (2) and Arauca (1).
Deaths from coronavirus in Colombia today, December 24:
The death toll from the disease was 280; 244 of those victims belong to days before this Thursday, but all so far in December.

- Caldas: 10
- Barranquilla: 9

The youngest person to die was a 12-year-old boy in Sogamoso (Boyacá) with Lesch Nyhan syndrome and the oldest was a 98-year-old woman in Cartagena who suffered from hypertension.
