After a group of hooded men vandalized a police car and motorcycle, there were clashes between university students and Esmad agents. The demonstrations are expected to continue until the end of the day.
Around 3:00 pm this Saturday, the peaceful mobilizations were marred by the clashes between protesters and members of the Public Force at the headquarters of the National University, which is closed. That was not an impediment for students to enter the facilities of the institution, bypassing the bars that surround it. After this, Esmad agents attacked the protest.
Despite the fact that the first hours of this second day of marches in Bogotá had passed peacefully, after noon the protagonists were riots and clashes between protesters and the Public Force. Crashes that have even caused road damage, as they caused a traffic accident in the vicinity of the National University.
The demonstrations have been accompanied by the Coexistence Managers of the Bogotá Government Secretariat, who have tried to prevent vandalism from occurring. Fortunately, so far no serious injuries have been reported, although several protesters have been affected by the tear gas that Esmad has thrown both inside and outside the institution’s facilities.

According to a report from the Ministry of Mobility, another demonstration is also presented at the Monument of the Heroes that reached the National Park. The protest is causing effects on the Carrera Séptima, north-south direction. For an hour, the Aguas and Museo del Oro stations suspended activities, however, they have already resumed functions at both points.
Transmilenio buses, stations and banking entities were also affected. The protests are expected to continue until the end of the day.
