This Friday the death of the Cartagena businessman Napoleón Franco, founder of what is now known as Ipsos Colombia, one of the leading companies in the research sector in Colombia, was known.

Franco began his career in the 1970s at the Leo Burnett advertising company, specifically in the area of ​​consumer research. Later, he founded his own research company, Napoleón Franco y Asociados, which would make him recognized in the world of market and public opinion surveys.

In the 90s he dedicated himself to working for large national companies. Subsequently, his firm was acquired by the French multinational Ipsos Group, in 2005.

Relatives say that the businessman died in the early morning of today, and although the cause is still unknown, it was known that he had been presenting health problems in recent years.

Camilo Herrera, founder of the Raddar firm, which measures the consumption of Colombian households, lamented the death of Franco.

“I worked with him on several projects, in particular in the Colombian Values ​​Study, widely recognized research. He defended market studies and research, like few others; it will be much needed in these moments where there is more and more “Inven-tigation”.
