Atlético Nacional pressed very high on the defensive line of Deportes Tolima. The visiting team was looking for quick transitions and play by band, although the game lacked fluidity, both teams came out to propose and seek the result. Tolima circulated the ball throughout the attack front and with his physical game, he laid the local in his goal.

The purslane suffered with their line of three in the background and at minute 15, Deportes Tolima once again had an option to attack with a foul near the area, the result of a foul by Jorge Segura, who was cautioned. Danovis Banguero charged, but the ball went wide.
The visiting team had control of the game, over a Nacional who tried to play under pressure and score by advancing his lines, but he felt unbalanced when Tolima attacked him with long balls starting from his goalkeeper Álvaro Montero and looking for Omar Albornoz as Caicedo.
On minute 30, Nacional began to hold the ball, the visit recovers and uses the counterattack to hurt. The game was very cut. At minute 33, an overflow through the left sector of Campaz, the ball was left to Estupiñán, who failed to define an empty goal.

After the goal, Nacional tried to find the opposite goal, but failed to go deep. The first half ended with a comfortable Tolima and a Nacional who did not have the necessary calm to structure his game.
In the complementary stage, Nacional made three changes; Déinner Quiñones, Andrés Andrade and Bryan Rovira left to make way for Vladimir Hernández, Jarlan Barrera and Brayan Córdoba, passing the line of three and two brand midfielders, to line three with a brand midfielder and concentrating the game with players from one innermost cut.
At minute 5, Omar Albornoz disturbed Quintana’s goal with a crossed shot, after a deep pass. The locals tried to get out, but lost the ball when making the transition from defense to attack.
At minute 15 and after a play that was born at the feet of Jorge Segura from the right sector, it led to a pass to Jarlan Barrera who tried to filter the ball to the rival area and in a rejection attempt, Julián Quiñones scored an own goal, equalizing the score.
Tolima again took the lead on the scoreboard at minute 26, after an advance from the left sector with a throw-in that Omar Albornoz received, this filtered for Campaz who finished off the goal, Aldair Quintana conceded a rebound in the small area, in where Caicedo was attentive and the ‘9’ handed it to Andrey Estupiñán who finished off without problems.
At minute 39 and after a filtered pass from Campaz to Juan Fernando Caicedo and before finishing the goal, he was knocked down in the area by Christian Mafla. The referee Jhon Perdomo had sanctioned a penalty, but the VAR ordered him to check the play and after a couple of minutes, Perdomo annulled the decision.
At minute 43 and after a counterattack by Deportes Tolima, Jaminton Campaz eluded Mafla and shot with his left leg at an unapproachable angle from goalkeeper Quintana, decreeing the third in favor of the musical group. However, the VAR helped the referee to disallow the goal for an offside of two players in the visiting team.
In the end, Nacional could not be a reliable team, it left many doubts in defense and attack, if not for Tolima, who lacked being more effective in order not to make a fool of the local team.
