Millonarios FC: Juan Moreno, history and criticism by Selection Colombia | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

[ad_1]

Millionaires found their savior in Juan Moreno for the final stretch of the BetPlay League. The goalkeeper has been in the last four games of the ambassador and has had important performances in all of them.

The Millonarios goalkeeper has only conceded one goal and scored a zero goal against Nacional, América and Deportivo Pereira, the latter being the great star.

Although he is only 21 years old and is making his debut in Colombian soccer, Moreno has worked with the professional team since 2017. Along with Nicolás Vikonis and Ramiro Sánchez he had his first professional training sessions, while in the lower teams he also shone.

Later he accompanied Wuilker Faríñez and then Jefferson Martínez, with whom he had a very good relationship. At the same time, Juan Moreno was the protagonist with the Millionaires Under-20 team, a team that was finally champion of the national tournament.

Despite this, Arturo Reyes, coach of the Colombia U-20 National Team in recent years, never called him up for the official tournaments in Colombia and did give other goalkeepers a chance who have not had as much relevance in Colombian football or with the Tricolor.

Even starting this 2020, Moreno could be part of the pre-Olympic team that played here in Colombia, but he was not taken into account for that call either.

Juan Moreno has proven to be an intuitive, agile and high-quality goalkeeper to be the protagonist of Colombian football. Although he still has things to improve, criticism also falls on Arturo Reyes for not having looked at him in the lower categories and having taken advantage of earlier.

As well as Juan Moreno, several footballers have not had the opportunity to play in the youth categories of Colombia and then they have shown to have a good performance in the professional. Is it missing more observation for the calls?
