After the elimination of Junior in the Copa Sudamericana and in the League, he began a novel about the future of attacker Miguel Ángel Borja. The attacker was not bought by the Barranquilla club and, in theory, he should return to Palmeiras, the owner of his sports rights.
On December 17, Borja said goodbye to Junior, the club of which he is a fan, with a message on his social networks.

“A few hours ago my representative informed me that Junior is not in a position to buy my rights as a player, therefore I want to express my gratitude to all the Junior fans, my teammates, journalism and all the people who have supported me and demonstrated his love during this beautiful time for the team of which I am a heart fan, “he wrote then.
“I would have loved to continue representing the colors of my beloved team, but unfortunately it will not be. I hope this is not goodbye but see you soon!”
Later, Borja himself complained that Palmeiras did not register him for the semifinal of the Copa Libertadores, in which he will face River Plate on Tuesday.
“I’m sad, it was a surprise for me that Palmeiras did not have me in the plans for the Libertadores. I could help in the semifinal. I really wanted to be there. I have great affection for the club for everything I did and for what I the fans did for me, “said the attacker in an interview with Globo Esporte.
Now, at last, his destiny was defined. Borja will stay at Junior for at least one more year. The announcement was made by the former mayor of Barranquilla, Alejandro Char, whose family owns the majority of shares in the Barranquilla club.
