This Saturday, Brigadier General Óscar Gómez Heredia confirmed the first case of COVID-19 in the Bogotá Metropolitan Police, of which he is commander.

As Gomez Heredia explained, the man was immediately transferred to the Police hospital and biosecurity protocols activated in the General Command, located in the center of the capital, where the infected person was at the time of being informed of the positive result.

  • “Rapid tests were performed on the closest circle, in order to avoid further contagion”, said the Bogotá police commander, who added that these personnel were placed in preventive isolation.
