“May this serve for more women to report,” says the victim of the acid attack

Outside the General Santander TransMilenio station, a 21-year-old woman was attacked with acid. According to the investigation of the National Police, it was due to an attack of jealousy from his current partner; Those responsible for this attack, apparently, are the man’s sister and his girlfriend.

The events took place on November 13 and, although the authorities had already reported that the two women who participated in the crime were sent to jail, and the victim’s boyfriend committed suicide days later, no details of the investigation had been known .

The Police revealed a series of videos from the security cameras of the sector where the attack occurred and show the exact moment when the women attacked the victim, who was on her boyfriend’s motorcycle, as seen in the images. When the victim’s boyfriend parks the motorcycle, he leaves the place to talk on the phone and leaves her alone, that’s when the women intercept her, as can be seen in the video shared by Caracol Televisión.

The woman spoke publicly and did so through a video published by Blu Radio, in which she affirms that she hopes that what happened to her will not happen to anyone else.

“The person who did this to me was my boyfriend, his sister and his partner. They are already paying for the crime. I hope this does not happen to anyone else, the truth has caused me a lot of physical damage, as well as emotional damage ”, he mentioned in the video.

In addition, he assured that he hopes that what he is experiencing is an example for more women to report if they are suffering from some type of abuse by their partners.

The Bogotá Criminal Investigation Section of the National Police commented to the media that, days before the acid attack, the victim had received threatening messages from two phone numbers. However, when they spoke with the victim, it was established that the main suspect was his romantic partner, taking into account that, during the course of the relationship, he experienced several episodes of jealousy, verbal and psychological attacks by the man.

According to the same investigation, three days after what happened, the young woman’s boyfriend confessed that his sister and her partner were the ones who had committed the crime. After his confession he made the decision to kill himself. Subsequently, one of the victim’s sisters gave the National Police a conversation in which one of the aggressors confesses that the plan had been orchestrated by her brother and that they participated in the event.

With the evidence provided, plus the videos from the security cameras of the Transmilenio station and surveillance of the sector, it was confirmed that the person who delivered the acid was the man, who also planned everything so that the attack was carried out under the bridge, where he would leave her alone while the assault occurred.
