After that, the former senator admitted in a new trill the deterioration of his reputation. “The deterioration of my reputation, which I recognize and saddens me, does not keep me from thinking about the present and the future of Colombia, about the risk of the extreme left or permissive mentalities.”

Also, in an interview with this newspaper, Uribe also spoke about this matter. “My great desire is my honor,” he said, adding: “The affectation of my reputation and my honorability hurts me a lot” and that is why he will continue to make every effort to show that he is honorable.

That is why the current vice president, Marta Lucía Ramírez, responded to Uribe, whom she calls President, and asserted that “Ingratitude is innate to human beings” and that his service “has been very great.”

“President Uribe, ingratitude is innate to human beings. We have always seen it, and In the case of Jesus Christ we saw that he collected hatred, even though he did so much good for humanity. The gratification of serving others is in the service itself and yours has been very great, “he trilled.
