Yésica Carolina Gómez Builes became the first convicted person in the so-called looting of the peace checkbook through productive projects promoted by Marlon Marín, the nephew of alias Iván Márquez.
According to Fabio Younes –extradited by the drug trafficking case involving ‘Jesús Santrich’–, the woman was the one who introduced him to Marlon Marín. But Gómez Builes (an accounting technician) is in prison for agreeing to obtain the benefit of money destined for productive projects, within the framework of the peace process with the FARC.

Fabio Simón Younes Arboleda points out that Yésica Gómez introduced him to Marlon Marín. Younes was captured and extradited to the United States.
This is indicated by the ruling of the Third Criminal Court of Bogotá, which found her responsible for co-authorship of a conspiracy to commit a crime: “Gómez obtained illicit economic profit consisting of influencing public servants of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Development Agency and Invías, so that within their powers they could award or make viable productive projects.”
