It’s been a year since that December 18 that changed Roberto Ortega’s life forever. There are more questions than the answers she has obtained about the death of her daughter, Madelayne, and on these special end-of-the-year dates everything reminds her of her, from the books that are still intact in her room, to her walking cat over and over the living room of the house.
The front of the house is adorned with white and blue ribbons that, according to Roberto, they placed so as not to lose the Christmas tradition that fascinated your daughter and to maintain the idea that his “star” – as he called it – is more alive than ever in his heart.
“They are very sad dates, always the lack of a loved one like my daughter hits and much more at this time, ”said the father, who said he had a problem due to the lack of clarity and answers from the authorities that are investigating the case.
The young Madelayne Sofía Ortega Villa passed away after falling from the second floor of the Centro de la Universidad del Atlántico, during a student take that by then completed about 15 days.
“We have felt alone since the first month of his death passed, we have always felt that the Prosecutor’s Office has not communicated anything to us, it does not tell us anything. The information we have is because we have looked for it together with the lawyer who is not given further information”Said Roberto, 37 years old.
