In early September, boxer Jimmy McDonald was enjoying a day with his family at Lake George, a tourism sector in the state of New York, United States. The weather was good, so he decided to rent a kayak to sail and take pictures.
As he did so, the current carried him away from the shore, where his wife and stepchildren were, so he tried to row back, without success. To make matters worse, his kayak was overturned and he was drowning, as he had not put on his life jacket.
When McDonald felt like he was going to give up, an unexpected event occurred: a group of São Paulo priests (as the missionaries of the Apostle Saint Paul are known) who were on the feast and rescued him.
The ‘divine help’
According to the story that McDonald gave the local media ‘Wnyt’, before being helped he asked God for help not to die.

It was then that the priests of the Saint Joseph Seminary in Washington DC They saw him and decided to go back in the boat-bar they were walking in to extend a hand to him.

The group of men was in the area for temporary relocation issues, since “coronavirus infections are low near Lake George,” according to Christopher D. Malano, one of the religious, wrote on his Twitter account.
