Major of the Police to investigation for party with inmates in Cauca station

In a video shared on social networks, Major Óscar Alfonso Chávez Gutiérrez, Commander of the Police of the Cauca municipality, can be seen drinking liquor outside the station along with other people who, apparently, were detained and subordinates. The entity announced that it will initiate a disciplinary investigation.

In a video broadcast by social networks, the commander of the Puerto Tejada Police, Major Óscar Alfonso Chávez Gutiérrez, is observed at a party outside the municipality’s station. In the same video, he is observed drinking liquor and in the company of civilians who, apparently, would be inmates who were at the station and some of his subordinates.

The video clearly shows that it was a party, since the music was at a high volume and bottles of liquor are seen that are consumed by the people who participate.

For this reason, a disciplinary investigation process was initiated to determine how the events were. “I immediately ordered the corresponding disciplinary actions to determine whether or not there is a responsibility of any official of the department, participating in any conduct contrary to the guidelines of police discipline, “said Colonel Rosemberg Novoa, Commander of the Cauca Police to Snail News.

In addition, in another video that is circulating on the networks it is seen how, apparently, the commander tells his subordinates that they must comply with a quota in terms of the number of subpoenas they must apply for the violation of biosafety regulations and the pandemic restrictions.

Colonel Novoa assured that at no time have quotas been imposed in terms of fines. “We have a main responsibility that is to ensure, enforce the stipulations of the coexistence code, the quotas are not determined, it is simply an important tool to prosecute all these behaviors contrary to coexistence,” Novoa said to the aforementioned newscast.
