Independiente Santa Fe experienced a victory with a bitter taste on the night of Thursday, November 5 at the El Campín Stadium. The cardinal team defeated Independiente Medellín 3-0, but saw one of its figures, Luis Manuel Seijas, in pain, had to leave the field of play due to a discomfort in one of his knees.
Hours later, the cardinal club communicated the seriousness of the injury to the Venezuelan midfielder, who once again stayed out of the courts due to problems in one of his knees.
“Sprain of the medial collateral ligament of the right knee. Observation: the player will begin his rehabilitation process and an MRI will be performed to rule out other injuries,” the club explained in a statement.
In addition, the 34-year-old soccer player confirmed through his social networks that the cruciate ligament was not affected, this being a relief for him and the medical body of the lion, because the steering wheel has already suffered this type of complication:
“What I experienced yesterday was quite difficult, a moment of great anguish and luckily after the doctors made the assessment we ruled out injury in the crusader and that is already a lot of gain because an injury in the same crusader that I had surgery a year ago would have been very strong, but thank God the crusader suffered us ”, said the player.
For now, a new medical examination is expected for Luis Manuel Seijas to rule out other types of injuries in the area, and also determine a recovery time.
