The American musician Little Richard, one of the pioneers of rock and roll, died this Saturday, May 9, at the age of 87.
The news about his death was communicated by the specialized magazine ‘Rolling Stone’, quoting the musician’s son, Danny Penniman.
“The cause of his death is not yet known,” added the artist media, whose real name was Richard Wayne Penniman.
Little Richard was born in December 1932 in Georgia (United States) and from the 1950s entered the music scene, where he was noted for his “Electrifying presence, its dynamism and its charisma”, AFP agency reported.
Little Richard’s ‘Tutti Frutti’ and ‘Long Tall sally’
Some of her most recognized songs worldwide are ‘Tutti frutti’, ‘Good golly miss Molly’ and ‘Long tall Sally’.
In 1986, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as his career served as the basis of the rock movement, as well as soul and funk, other musical genres that he influenced.
